Chorus Cantorum Finlandiæ
Suomen kanttorikuoro
Tradition and Freshness since 1892!
CCF
…brings together professional church musicians from all over Finland. The vision of the choir is to perform high-quality sacred choir music with passion. The singers of the choir are highly educated musically and have a diverse background in the field of church music. They are trained in the use of voice, which gives the choir its exceptionally colourful, rich and deep sound. The choir’s subtle perception of music creates touching musical experiences in concerts all around Finland. CCF has got recognition both for their performances of the masterpieces of church music and their moving renditions of sacred songs.
CCF gets together 4-5 times a year for a small tour of a couple of days, to practice and give concerts. The choir, established in 1892, operated as a male choir for a little over 100 years and was made into a mixed choir in 2007. CCF has thus far given over 500 concerts and aside from Finland, the choir has also toured different parts of Europe and the USA. The latest trip abroad was in 2018, when CCF was invited to represent Finland in the Musica Sacra -festival in Markoberdorf, Germany. Upcoming performances include the Vaasa Choir Festival and the Nordic Church Music Symposium in Helsinki. CCF has published seven recordings and the latest of which, Laulaen kiitän, is from 2013.
